ブルースクリーン その６ ・・・また0x0000008E

to your computer.

If this is the first time you`ve seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

check to be sure you have adequate disk s ace. If a driver is
identified in the Stop message, disable t e driver or check
with the manufacturer for dr ver updates. Try changing video
adapters.

check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable
ores memory options such as cachin or shadowing. If you need
go use safe Mode to remove or disagle components, restart your
omputer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options and then
select Safe Mode.

ブルースクリーン その４ グラフィックボード ドライバ

前回ビデオドライバがどうたらと書いてあり、ちょっと思い当たるふしがあった。

このマシンで乗せてるグラフィックボードは以下。

<グラフィックボード>
メーカー：SPARKLE（セレクト　玄人志向）
型番：GFX5700U-A128X
GPU：nVIDIA GeForceFX5700Ultra

NVIDIAのGeForceドライバは下記サイトで最新のものをインストールしている。
http://jp.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html

「オプション2: エヌビディア製品用ドライバを自動検索する」を使ったら自動認識した。
ビデオ関連も最新であれば一発で全部認識する模様。
今回：GeForce Release 175 バージョン: 175.16 WHQL
175.16_geforce_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe

ところが、これ、製品サポートリストを見ると、FX5700Ultraはのってない。
探してみると「GeForce 4 MX Series」で出る以下

ファイルサイズ: 61.1 MB

これには製品サポートリストにGeForceFX5700Ultraがきっちり載っている。

どちらが本当だろうかと悩んだあげく、結局自動検索を信じたのだが、もしかしてこれか！？

ブルースクリーンが頻発して起こる事の調査切り分けに、これを変えてみることにした。

一回、前回のドライバをアンインストールし、再起動。
そして、ForceWare Release 90　をインストールして再起動
今度は、どちらの再起動でも、ブルースクリーンは見られず。
これが原因だったのか！？
ただ、事なきを祈るばかりだ。
